The Most Perfect Temple Ever Built
Not just an archaeological site. An encounter with the blueprint of Western thought.
- 4 hours
- Private tour
- Half-day experience
Nothing is straight. Not one line. The columns lean. The platform curves. The steps bend. And yet the Parthenon looks perfect. That is not an accident — it is genius making marble behave against its own nature.
At the Erechtheion, six women turned into columns hold up a temple roof, functional and deeply human at the same time. They have been standing there for 2,500 years. They have not put it down yet.
The Museum completes the picture: it’s built on a glass floor above a live excavation, and its top gallery aligns with the Parthenon floating through a glass ceiling. Here is where it all makes sense. The Acropolis, whole and complete, for the first time.
How do you raise marble columns weighing tons without modern machinery? Why does everything feel balanced when nothing is mathematically straight? What message has been hiding in plain sight for twenty-five centuries?
Ideal for: Curious travellers, families, first-time visitors and returning ones. Anyone who feels Athens deserves more than a selfie at the top.

The City That Built the Acropolis
- 2 hours
- Private tour
If the Acropolis is the city’s crown, the Agora is its heartbeat.
This is where Athens worked. Grain was weighed, laws debated, votes cast, reputations made and ruined. Democracy was not an idea discussed in books. It was a daily, noisy, occasionally chaotic practice.
This is a story-driven tour. We follow Simon, a cobbler and friend of Socrates, whose workshop stood just outside the Agora. Through his eyes, we meet Athens not as a legend, but in action.
We walk through the spaces where the citizens voted, judged, worshipped, traded, debated and philosophized. We encounter the best-preserved temple in Greece, the story of a “wandering” temple, and the mythical creatures who still watch over the Agora from above.
The magnificent Stoa of Attalos, a colonnaded arcade rebuilt in all its original grandeur, offers the closest experience of stepping into an ancient cultural and commercial hub. Here, surrounded by magnificent sculptures, household objects, inscriptions, voting equipment, tools and personal belongings, we discover the physical evidence of everyday life and the mindset of the people who built Athens.
Why could a man be exiled with a shard of pottery? How did Athens govern itself without professional politicians? And what passed between Simon and Socrates?
Ideal for those who suspect the Acropolis is only half the story.

MYTHICAL ATHENS • THE SECRET ACROPOLIS QUEST
An Interactive Mythology Tour for Kids & Families
- 2.5–3 hours
- Private tour
- Ages 6+
The gods never really left Athens… they simply stopped appearing.
Step into the world of Greek mythology on an interactive adventure where children become explorers, solving clues, unlocking ancient secrets, and discovering the stories hidden beneath the Acropolis.
Our quest begins on the sacred rock itself, where Athena and Poseidon once competed to become the patron deity of Athens. We’ll uncover the evidence they left behind and discover why the city chose wisdom over the sea.
From there, we continue through the Acropolis, where every sanctuary, every carving, and every forgotten detail reveals another tale of the Olympian gods, heroes, monsters, and legendary creatures. Together we’ll meet Athena, Zeus, Apollo, Pan, Dionysus, Poseidon, Asclepius, and many others—not as distant myths, but as characters whose stories are still written into the landscape.
Then comes the part that most visitors never experience.
We leave the crowds behind and follow the ancient Peripatos, a hidden pathway circling the Acropolis where secret caves, sacred springs, and forgotten sanctuaries are tucked into the rock. This was the world beyond the temples—the places where Athenians believed the gods truly revealed themselves.
Only those who know where to look can uncover these hidden corners and the myths they have guarded for thousands of years:
What secret did Apollo hide in a cave on this hill for nineteen years? What do you hear if you sit beside the Clepsydra spring long enough? Why did Pan appear to a lone runner the night before the most important battle in history? And—did Athena choose the owl, or did the owl choose Athena?
Perfect for:
• Families and curious kids
• Young mythology lovers (especially Percy Jackson fans!)
• Adults who still enjoy a good mystery
Bring: Comfortable shoes, curious minds, and your best questions for the gods.
MYTHICAL ATHENS • INTERACTIVE MUSEUM QUEST
The Acropolis Museum Detectives
- 2 hours
- Private tour
- Ages 7+
The Acropolis Museum is full of stories—but only if you know where to look.
This is not a traditional museum tour. It’s an interactive quest where children become museum detectives, following clues, solving riddles, and uncovering the hidden meanings behind some of the world’s greatest masterpieces.
Built above an ancient Athenian neighbourhood, with glass floors revealing the city beneath your feet, the museum is a place where the past feels astonishingly close. Every sculpture, every fragment, and every carving has a story to tell.
Together we’ll decode the myths hidden in marble, discover the adventures of Athena, Zeus, Poseidon, Apollo, Artemis, Dionysus, Heracles, and other legendary figures, and reveal why these stories mattered so much to the ancient Athenians.
Young explorers will search for hidden details, crack mythological puzzles, and discover that every gallery holds clues waiting to be found. Along the way, we’ll uncover the stories behind the Parthenon sculptures, meet the graceful Caryatids, and learn how archaeologists piece together the mysteries of the ancient world.
Some questions have clear answers. Others still spark debate after thousands of years. The greatest discoveries will be the ones you make yourself.
Perfect for:
• Families and curious kids
• Young mythology lovers (especially Percy Jackson fans!)
• Anyone who wants the museum to feel like an adventure rather than a history lesson
Bring: Curious eyes, sharp observation skills, and a willingness to look twice at everything.
Start your museum quest and discover the secrets hidden in stone.

Athens on a Plate
The story of Athens is still being served.
- 5 hours
- Starts at Syntagma Square
- Private tour
I designed this walk around the way we actually eat in this city.
We start with a warm pie from a place I’ve been returning to for years. We end with Greek coffee and baklava, the way every good morning in Athens should end. In between — golden bites drizzled with honey, a sweet with Olympic roots, olives and cheeses that smell like the mountains they came from, and meze platters that will make you understand why ancient Greeks invented the symposium.
This isn’t a food tour where you tick boxes. It’s a walk through the city as locals actually live it. Through the spice-filled streets of Evripidou, past the vibrant Ermou Street, through the chaos and warmth of Varvakios market, into the backstreets of Psyrri where Athens gets real.
Six stops. Six stories. All of them edible.

Olive Oil, Bread & Wine
The Ancient Greeks didn't just eat. They celebrated. Two and a half thousand years later, so will you.
- 4 hours
- Ancient Agora entrance
- Private tour
Here’s what I love about this tour: it starts as a walk through one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites in the world, and ends as the best brunch or light dinner you’ll have in Athens.
The Ancient Agora was the beating heart of Athenian daily life, where citizens debated, traded, prayed, and shared meals. Not a museum. Not a ruin. A place where people lived. We walk through it together, and I tell you the stories that the archaeology books leave out: about the olive oil merchants, the wine rituals, the bread sellers, the social life that happened between these columns every single morning.
Then we sit down.
On the table: cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, freshly baked breads and rusks, artisanal cheeses, olives, honey, figs — and three extraordinary Greek wine varieties: Agiorgitiko, Mouhtaro, Assyrtiko. The same sacred triad that fed Athenian citizens in this very spot for centuries.

A Byzantine Walk in Athens
- 4–4.5 hours
- Byzantine Museum to city centre
Athens is one of the rare cities where you can walk from antiquity straight into the Byzantine world within minutes. Between modern streets and ancient ruins lies another city, shaped by art, faith, and over a thousand years of history.
I find this era endlessly compelling. While Western Europe was navigating the Dark Ages, Byzantium was producing some of the most refined art, theology, and architecture the world has ever seen. Its presence is still visible everywhere: in a tiny church tucked into a modern hotel, in ancient marble fragments reused within medieval walls, in a dark hidden crypt beneath a Byzantine church and in the imposing, elegant domes rising above the city streets.
This journey begins at the Byzantine Museum, one of the finest in the world, with a curated visit through key galleries. Painted masterpieces, luminous mosaics, and sacred relics reveal a quiet transformation — how the ancient world slowly shifts into a new spiritual language through adaptation.
The Byzantine world is not explained. It is encountered. Gold leaf catching low light, interiors shaped by shadow, silence between prayers — everything is intentional. By the end, you will have traced the hidden layers of Athens: subtle, overlooked, but deeply present.
Ideal for history lovers, curious travellers, and those who feel they have "done" the Acropolis and want to discover what comes next.

Greece: Fragments of Identity
- 3 hours
- Small groups
- Away from the crowds
Most visitors to Athens never come here. That is their loss and quietly, your gain.
The National Gallery reopened in 2021 after a major renovation, and today it stands as one of the most impressive collections of Greek art. On this curated visit, we move through Byzantine icons, post-Byzantine painting, 19th-century academic works, and modern Greek art — a single, continuous narrative of cultural formation and reinvention.
Rather than a chronological survey, this is a guided reading of a country through its images: how it has represented itself, questioned itself, and changed its visual language over time.
What emerges is not a series of periods, but a conversation. Each generation responding to the last, each style correcting, rejecting, or returning to what came before. Beneath it all, a persistent question: what does it mean to be Greek?
This is not a world of monuments, but of colour and light, more intimate, and often more revealing. In my view, it is one of the most refined cultural experiences in Athens.
We conclude at the National Gallery’s café, with sweeping views across the city and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the air. It’s a relaxed setting to pause, reflect, and let the impressions of the visit settle into conversation.
Ideal for: art enthusiasts, design-minded travellers and those who prefer access over spectacle.
BEYOND ATHENS • SOUNION & THE ATHENIAN RIVIERA
Cape Sounion at Sunset
- 5–7 hours
- Up to 11 guests
- Private vehicle
Escape the city and follow one of Greece’s most beautiful coastal roads to Cape Sounion, where the Temple of Poseidon stands high above the Aegean Sea.
Travel along the stunning Athenian Riviera, passing seaside towns, hidden coves, and panoramic coastal views. If you wish, we can stop at the beautiful Lake Vouliagmeni for a coffee, lunch, or even a swim in its naturally warm mineral waters.
At Cape Sounion, discover the myths of Poseidon, King Aegeus, and Theseus while exploring one of Greece’s most spectacular archaeological sites. Learn why this dramatic headland has inspired travelers, sailors, and poets for over 2,500 years—including Lord Byron, whose signature can still be seen on the ancient marble.
Your visit is carefully timed to coincide with sunset, when the golden light transforms the temple and the endless blue of the Aegean into one of the most unforgettable views in Greece.
Relax in the comfort of a private vehicle as history, mythology, breathtaking landscapes, and the magic of the Greek sunset come together in one unforgettable experience.
Perfect for: Couples, families, photographers, cruise visitors, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of the Athenian Riviera beyond the city.
BEYOND ATHENS • PRIVATE DAY TOUR
Corinth The Rival Athens Could Not Ignore
- 5–6 hours
- Private
- Private vehicle included
- Up to 11 guests
Athens gets the glory. Corinth got the money.
At its peak, Corinth was one of the wealthiest, most powerful and most scandalous cities in the ancient world: controlling two seas, two ports and every trade route between them. It was a city of ambition and reinvention: destroyed by Rome, rebuilt by Rome, and still impossible to disregard.
We begin at the Corinth Canal — a 19th-century engineering marvel carved through solid rock, creating one of Greece’s most dramatic landscapes. Standing above its sheer walls, you understand why this place has fascinated explorers for generations. The scale simply does not compute until you are there.
Then we spend the morning in Ancient Corinth — walking the forum, the temples, the markets, the fountains — and in the Archaeological Museum, where the objects tell the story better than any textbook. Seven columns of the Temple of Apollo still stand exactly where they were placed in the 6th century BC. They were already ancient when the Parthenon was built. Standing next to them recalibrates everything.
On the way back, a pause at Loutraki, optional but recommended: Greece’s historic spa town, known for its mineral-rich thermal waters and wellness traditions dating back centuries. Choose a relaxing spa experience, a seaside coffee, or a sweet local treat by the Gulf of Corinth.
Perfect for: Travellers who want to go beyond Athens and discover the stories, landscapes and places that shaped Greece.
ATHENS BY NIGHT • PRIVATE EVENING WALK
Athens After Dark
- 1.5 hours
- Private
- Dinner not included
Athens transforms after sunset. The marble glows, the streets cool, and the city belongs to the people who live here. As the crowds fade, a different side of Athens comes to life.
Our evening walk begins at Panepistimio, passing the city’s magnificent neoclassical landmarks before wandering through Ermou, Monastiraki and the illuminated Roman Agora. We continue into vibrant Psyrri, where historic workshops have given way to lively tavernas, cafés, live music and some of the city’s best street art.
Along the way, you’ll discover the stories behind the neighbourhoods while experiencing Athens at its most relaxed and authentic.
The evening ends the way every great Greek night should: around a table. Whether you prefer an award-winning restaurant in Psyrri or a hidden taverna beneath the Acropolis in Plaka, I’ll recommend the perfect place and arrange the reservation.
Perfect for: Couples, first-time visitors and anyone who wants to experience Athens beyond the guidebooks.
Ends with dinner at a handpicked taverna
ATHENS BY NIGHT • MYTHS & ASTRONOMY
Where Greek Myth Meets the Night Sky
- 2 hours
- Private
- Seasonal
- Small groups
Long before astronomy became a science, the ancient Greeks looked to the heavens and filled the night sky with heroes, gods and legendary creatures. Their stories still shine above us today.
As dusk falls over Athens, we’ll walk to the Hill of the Nymphs beside the National Observatory and the Pnyx Hill, where the illuminated Acropolis provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening beneath the stars. On this same hill, where the astronomer Meton studied the heavens more than 2,400 years ago, ancient curiosity meets modern astronomy beside the observatory’s historic telescope.
Together we’ll trace the constellations visible that evening, discovering the myths behind heroes, gods and legendary creatures whose stories have been written across the Greek sky for millennia. Weather and season permitting, we’ll also observe the Moon, Saturn’s rings, Jupiter and its moons, and other celestial highlights professional astronomical optics.
This is a relaxed, intimate walk where mythology, history and astronomy come together beneath one of the world’s oldest skies.
Perfect for: Couples, families, curious minds and anyone who has ever looked up in wonder.
Best enjoyed: May–October
