- Neolithic to Modern Greece (1940)
A private cultural journey through 8,000 years of Greek history — told through objects that survived empires, revolutions, and reinventions.
Housed in a beautiful neoclassical mansion, the museum brings together over 120,000 rare artifacts, connected by a single red thread: the evolution of Greek identity through the centuries.
Along the way, we will explore exceptional displays of art, jewelry, costumes, weapons, icons, and everyday objects, collected over the last century by Antonis Benakis, the museum’s founder, as well as by generations of collectors, donors, and scholars who helped build one of Greece’s most remarkable cultural collections.
One of the museum’s greatest strengths is its immersive reconstructions, including entire rooms and sections of traditional homes such as the Kozanitiko Onda, the Sperveri bridal room, the Skyrian house, and working looms that reveal the craftsmanship of past generations.
What you see is not evolution in a straight line.
It is accumulation.
A cultural landscape where nothing disappears — it just changes form.
A Story Brought to Life Through Everyday Objects
The museum’s unique strength lies in its immersive reconstructions: fully recreated rooms and traditional living spaces that allow visitors to step into the daily lives of past generations.
Among these remarkable displays are:
- The Kozanitiko Onda, a traditional Macedonian reception room;
- The Sperveri bridal chamber, showcasing Greek wedding traditions and decorative craftsmanship;
- The traditional house of Skyros, reflecting the authentic lifestyle of the island's inhabitants;
- Working handlooms, preserving a craft that has been passed down through generations.
Why this works for corporate groups
Because it mirrors the business world itself — continuity, disruption, adaptation, and reinvention over time. A high-level cultural framework for understanding resilience.
Optional: the experience can conclude with an exclusive evening reception or gala on the Benaki Museum terrace overlooking Athens.

Greek dance is not performance. It is community.
From the Zorba circle to the intricate steps of regional traditions, Greek dance was always about people choosing to move together. This session is exactly that — guided by a professional, accessible to everyone regardless of experience, and ending in the kind of shared joy that no PowerPoint slide has ever produced.
PRIVATE BOAT TRIP
- Sea
- Half or full day
- Up to 20 people
Athens is also a port city. Most corporate groups never discover that.
A private boat from the Athenian Riviera — past the Temple of Poseidon visible from the water, along the coastline that the ancient Athenians sailed every day — with swimming stops, onboard dining and the particular silence of being at sea with people you have just spent the week working alongside. The most memorable way to close a conference, reward a team or simply give a group of people an afternoon they did not expect.
